While re-telling my personal statement in a story-like manner, I think Stuart got frustrated that he just turned around from his table ( on his comfy chair that spins) and place his feet onto some other teacher's desk. Maybe he was enjoying it or something, but I couldn't care less. He was telling the "story" damn fast.
Half way telling my own story, he just stopped and stared at me. I looked back. And he said the most .. speechless thing in the world. " I'm bored now, so I shall stop here. I want you to go home and continue writing your personal statement and show it to me in our next appointment."
Okay, after several attempts and corrections made, my personal statement is finally ready to be sent. He wanted everything to be his way, I had no objection, so he opened the UCAS webpage, had me log-in my account and did the grandpa-est thing in the world.
" Now, I'm going to highlight the whole Personal Statement from this Document and paste it into the blank page in the UCAS." - Saying this while SLOWLY highlighting the whole personal statement from Words and pasting it to the UCAS page.
" Let's click the save button and see what would happen." <>." Oh, you are one line out, let's try cutting out one line and see whether would it fit. So now, I will highlight everything in this UCAS page and delete it. Then I will press save so that when UCAS website saves it, everything will be saved as blank."
Imagine an old man of around 200 years old saying this. It'll make everything more.. INTERESTING.
And so, after cutting one life out from the WORDS..
"I'm going to highlight the whole Personal Statement from this Document again and paste it into the blank page in the UCAS webpage." After the whole document was pasted. " then, click the save button once more and see whether is it still out of line." <3>. "Ahh, it's still one line off."
Before he could say anything else, I went: " Why not we just cut off the line straight away from the UCAS page. It would be much more convenient than ........." Quickly he replied "okay."
Several-line-being-cut-out later, we finally got everything fitted into the UCAS page perfectly. And there goes grandpa telling stories again.
" Now I will save your personal statement into my computer." " What is your name? " " H.O.O.N.G L.E.O.N.G L.I.M, yea, that's it." " Okay, I will look for my student's file... There, and save it here. Now, I will save it into your .. thing (it was my pen drive..=.=)"
"Where is it?"
He was slowly going through his computer, trying to search for my pen drive. I got so bored, I just pointed the computer icon on his screen and told him to open that and save in in "Kingston".
"Okay, everything in your UCAS is fine now. I don't mind if you change anything. But I would prefer you don't."
" Tell Guilly that your UCAS application is in the last stretch now. I will see you next Monday hopefully for your last appointment, then we will send your application off in the afternoon."
" Thanks, see you next Monday then. Bye."
Actually, there's still more grandpa stories but I didn't wanna bore myself in the future. Painful memories like this aren't suppose to be kept but for some odd reasons, I find this really funny.
Oh yea, Stuart also mentioned something about " This is my screen, not your screen...." kinda crap.
Dear Stuart,
KINDA OBVIOUS THAT'S YOUR SCREEN AND NOT MY SCREEN!!!
Come to think of it, while writing this post, I laughed a zillion times already >.<
Okay, I know I'm a bit sakai but I just can't help it. Simply just tooooo happy my personal statement and UCAS application is OUT OF MY WAY!
